Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond sued by landlord
Tameka Raymond — the former wife of R&B singer Usher — is being sued by her landlord for a whopping $50,000 in unpaid rent and other expenses for a small business Tameka owns.
According to reports, Antelope Valley Plaza filed an eviction case against Tameka Raymond, claiming that she signed a two-year lease agreement back in 2010 for three retail spaces in a Georgia complex where Raymond runs Kangazoom — an indoor play center for kids.
Antelope Valley Plaza claims in the legal papers that Tameka was supposed to hand over $9,966.67 a month, but she has not anted up for months now, making her total debt $36,943.32 in unpaid rent.
Aside from the unpaid rent, AVP claims Tameka Raymond also owes more than $4,000 in late charges, $2,000 in unpaid taxes all tolled, and the total amount comes to a whopping $49,816.18.
However, Tameka says AVP breached the contract and she wants the case to be dismissed.
Tameka Raymond is known as a hair stylist, wardrobe stylist and the former wife of “U Got It Bad” singer Usher. She has worked as a personal stylist for Lauryn Hill.
Tameka is also is credited as the founder of charity organization “The Lost Ones Foundation,” founded in 2009. The organization is a non-profit one and serves as a motivational group for teenage girls.
