The supposed concert of rock band Tenacious D at Mandalay Bay’s House of Blues in Las Vegas was cancelled due to a fan that was stabbed during a fight.
According to reports from a Las Vegas news station, police said that a fan was stabbed in the leg after a physical altercation broke out during the Tenacious D concert on July 28. The victim of the stabbing has been taken to a local Las Vegas hospital and is expected to make a full recovery from the incident.
Reports said that the authorities now have a suspect in custody following the violent melee at the Tenacious D concert venue and are no longer looking for other suspects of the stabbing incident.
The remainder of the Tenacious D concert was cancelled when the police decided to shut down the venue. Hair metal outfit Steel Panther, who were due to have their gig at the same stage later that night, were also forced to cancel their show.
Tenacious D, consisted of comedian Kyle Glass and actor Jack Black, are touring the United Kingdom in support of their third studio album “Rize of the Fenix” later this year. This new album is their follow-up to 2006’s “The Pick of Destiny” and the band’s 2001 self-titled debut.
