Miss Arizona Teen USA Tori Vance strikes plea deal in DUI case
Former Miss Arizona Teen USA Tori Vance will not be doing any jail time for her DUI case because she just struck a plea deal with the prosecutors.
Tori initially pleaded “not guilty” to her DUI case, but then she changed her tune this week. The first time offender is said to have made a deal with prosecutors by pleading “no contest” to reckless driving.
In exchange for her plea, prosecutors decided to drop the DUI charges against Tori Vance. Now, she was given three years of probation instead of doing time inside prison.
According to previous reports, 18-year-old Tori Vance was charged with DUI after she made an illegal U-turn in Hollywood back in May.She was pulled over by police who suspected that she may have been drinking. Tori showed signs of intoxication, and also failed a roadside field sobriety test.
Vance, of Ahwatukee, Arizona, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI after she recorded a blood alcohol content of just over the legal limit of .08.
In a statement, the former beauty queen said, “I’m truly sorry as my conduct was wrong and not a reflection of who I really am.”
Vance won the Miss Arizona Teen title at the age of 16, and said she will be competing for Miss California 2013, according to a “Tori Vance for Miss CA 2013” Facebook page.
