Tyler the Creator pays $8,000 for his vandalism case

Rapper Tyler the Creator is set to pay a total amount of $8,000 in damages for his vandalism case. Tyler allegedly annihilated sound equipment during the group’s Christmas show at the Roxy in Los Angeles.
According to reports of the vandalism case, Tyler was arrested in December 2011 outside the world famous Roxy on Sunset Boulevard after the 20-year-old rapper performed at the venue. Suddenly, he went crazy on stage and started throwing things around, leading to a destroyed soundboard. Tyler the Creator Fans took to the streets to protest the rapper’s arrest. The incident nearly became a riot situation.
Tyler, who was arrested after the show, subsequently defended himself by saying that he had was just trying to get the attention of the venue’s security staff to two injured female crowd members, but he claims no one was attempting to help and that frustrated him.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Tyler the Creator is in the process of making amends with the venue for his vandalism case, and is already paying approximately $8,000 in damages. Additionally, the rapper is also scheduled to have a meeting with a hearing officer for the District Attorney, who will recommend the rapper also pay for the investigation costs incurred by the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department for his vandalism case. If he complies, the District Attorney will not file any criminal charges.
