Alleged stalker of Usher hospitalized due to mental problems
The alleged stalker of Usher was reportedly admitted to a psych ward for a mental evaluation — after insisting that she really is the wife of the singer.
After the arrest, cops claimed that Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw was taken to Emory Johns Creek Hospital instead of the police station, where she was admitted for a mental evaluation. She was then released shortly after, together with a copy of the charges against her. Darshelle is due in court next month.
According to previous reports, Darshelle was arrested outside the Georgia house of Usher on Sunday after disobeying a criminal trespass warning which ordered her to stay off the singer’s property. The police issued a warning to Darshelle the day before when she showed up for the first time at the house of Usher — to which someone notified the authorities.
Media outlet TMZ has obtained the incident report from Johns Creek Police Department which describes the events in detail. The said report claims that when the police arrived at the house of Usher in response to a call about a suspicious person, they found Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw on the front porch using her iPad. The report added that Usher spotted her on his surveillance camera and called the police himself.
When the police identified the woman, Darshelle was placed under arrest for violation of the criminal trespass warning. However, the report stated that she was in a bizarre mental state that the authorities in prison refused to take her in. The docs added that Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw kept insisting that she is the wife of Usher and that he makes all her decisions — but she really isn’t the wife of the singer.
