Yale Galanter, lawyer of actress Brooke Mueller has denied the allegations going round that his client has gone back into rehab due to a drug relapse, saying that Brooke went back as part of her pre-scheduled maintenance program which has been approved by a judge.
Reports went out like wild fire that Brooke Mueller “checked into” the rehab again after she suffered a relapse at her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen’s house during a party. However, the troubled actress’ lawyer says otherwise. Yale Galanter reiterated that Brooke, who has had a long and arduous battle with drugs, went back to a recovery center last month as part of her “ongoing treatment” for her addiction issues.
“(Rehab) was a pre-planned event… she has been there for close to three weeks,” Yale Galanter told E!Online, adding, “This process began when she entered in December and now this is part of her after-care program. Her overall treatment plan was always contemplated to be a year. She goes back every once in a while for what I call tune-ups or maintenance. Otherwise, she is doing fine… (Mueller) has to pee in a cup three or four days a week. There have been no bad reports. The proof is not in the tabloids. It is in the science. And the science says she is doing well.”
Yale Galanter said that when Brooke Mueller pled guilty to cocaine possession last month, the actress told the judge handling her case that she had made arrangements to go back to rehab four times over the next year. After consulting experts, the decision was made. Mueller needed to spend a few weeks in rehab every few months, which will help her to go on with a life in a city such as Los Angeles, which has several temptations.
Yale Galanter told TMZ that Brooke takes numerous drug tests each week as part of her probation, and she has tested clean every single time. Pitkin County D.A Arnie Mordkin, who prosecuted Mueller, is backing Yale Galanter, saying that there is no evidence Brooke Mueller is experiencing a relapse.
Yale Galanter also claims that Brooke Mueller, who has two young sons with actor Charlie Sheen, was already inside the rehab when the alleged relapse happened in late May, “It couldn’t have occurred because she wasn’t even there when they say she was… I am speaking out because Charlie and Brooke and everyone just couldn’t stand the rumours anymore. Charlie has nothing to do with her being in rehab again. Brooke and Charlie are doing really well. They are very close.”
